We use a number of different materials in our unique fashion designs.
Lady-Fit T-Shirt and T-Shirt Tunic Dress materials
160gsm Lifestyle Recycled jersey (poly) - Comfy and soft moisture wicking unique jersey fabric. This is a lovely soft fabric that is slightly more opaque than the 200gsm fabric. Strong colours. Strong wash fastness with no loss of colours. Our designs show up wonderfully clear against the white base of this beautiful material. Soft and cool feel for those warmer days.
96% Polyester. 4% Elastane.
180gsm Medium weight jersey (cotton) - This lively jersey fabric bounces back into shape when manipulated. This lovely cotton jersey material has a medium weight and drape and is moisture wicking. We find it a great choice for our unique designs. The colours and detailing print beautifully. Our cotton jersey material is a natural cotton and has a slightly off-white base tone, giving slightly muted colours in comparison to the other beautiful jersey materials we work with.
200gsm Soft fashion recycled jersey (poly) - This is a heavier jersey fabric than the 160gsm materials and is our most opaque option for our unique design printing. It is extremely soft and comfortable to wear and is hugely elasticated. We can confidently tell you that T-Shirts made out of this beautiful material are perfect for casual wear and sportswear. (You can, of course, wear designs from this material as a smartly dressed item too). The white base colour really does showcase our design colours boldly. Ideal for any time of the year.
245gsm Fluid velour high stretch fabric with a ripple and shine. This knitted fabric is a plush textile with a sheen and mesh-like construct. It has a beautiful short pile with a super soft face and a soft touch back for a smooth, delicate feeling on the skin. Our unique designs show a slight glisten when this material catches the light. Gorgeous, quality material. Ideal for anytime of the year.
Flared skirt material
We use our smooth customised softshell jersey material to create this Flared Skirt. We cut 2 styles in a flared shape. One at just above knee length and one slightly shorter for the ladies who like to show more of their leg line.
This is a truly technical jersey material, which is made with 2 layers of fabric that have been bonded together. The face of the fabric is smooth and cool. The back is soft and brushed, making it a pleasurable experience to wear against the skin. It is flexible with good stretch, adding to its comfort. Wow! So much detail for a fabulous material and, here at Heart Of Joy Designs, we really do love working with it.
This is a heavy fabric, weighing 350gsm. 100% Polyester. It has a good drape and a slightly structured body, which gives this skirt a contemporary feel.
Pencil Skirts
250gsm Rox Sports Jersey with a shiny feel. Breathable, smooth and flat surface. Good stretch.
260gsm Ponte Jersey heavyweight with its rib-knit interlock. Double-knit, matte surface with great stretch and recovery on the weft.
245gsm Crushed Velour with its soft pile, shiny surface, and stretch on both the weft and warp.

High Waist Leggings
250gsm Rox Sports Jersey with a shiny feel. Breathable, smooth and flat surface. Good stretch.

160gsm Lifestyle Recycled Poly Jersey stretch fabric with a matte finish. A comfy and soft moisture wicking breathable fabric, stretchy enough to provide comfort and has a smooth surface. Strong wash fastness with no loss of colour. 96% Polyester - 4% Elastane. (Certified to meet OEKO-Tex standards).
170gsm Bounce Cotton Jersey. Comfy and soft with a structured fit. Matte finish. Good colour strength and good wash fastness. Cotton from sustainable sources and manufactured in an ethical manner. 95% Cotton - 5% Lycra.

Waterproof Outer with Quilted Lining. A breathable, waterproof fabric outer with a quilted lining for extra warmth.
Satin Outer with Satin Lining. Luxurious glossy Duchess Satin and Satin Lining.
Softshell Jersey Outer with Satin Lining. Soft, insulating and flexible fabric outer with Luxurious Duchess Satin Lining.
Marbled Velvet Outer with Quilted Lining. A wonderful heavyweight fabric that is strong and durable and has a beautiful shimmer and shine. Lined with snuggly quilted jersey for extra warmth.
